Ride to Remember
Luangdimai Cycling Club is organizing a cycling event on 26th January 2021 in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland to commemorate the 106th Birth Anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu, a well known India’s freedom fighter from Luangkao Village, Manipur.
Rani Gaidinliu was awarded Padma Bhusan, Tamra Patra, Swami Vivekananda Seva Award, Birsa Munda Award and in her honour, the Government of India has also released commemorative Postal Stamp, commemorative coin of Hundred Rupees, circulation coin of Five Rupees and Indian Navy has also launched Rani Gaidinliu Vessel.
This cycling event, with theme “Ride to Remember” is an attempt to invite young and old alike not only to inculcate healthy cycling activity but also to connect one another while creating an avenue to learn and remember the great daughter of Luangdimai and of India, her contributions and sacrifices made for her people.
